Your consultation with the Attorney will be scheduled within one business day of your purchase to ensure timely action.
*filing fee not included (filing fee is $40 in most counties)
**We can provide an Attorney in court for an additional low flat fee.
If your existing court order is in California, then we can help with an Order to Show Cause in this state.
In California, the court may award Spousal Support (Alimony) based on factors which include: length of marriage, differentiation in income, health of the parties, employment history and need.
In the preliminary stages of a divorce or a legal separation, a party may seek temporary spousal support. Legal Action Workshop prepares an Order to Show Cause for spousal support and the court will award it based on a computerized formula called a Dissomaster as well as other factors such as need. In this way, a spouse can get temporary spousal support while the divorce or legal separation is in progress. Once the divorce or legal separation is complete, it will include the final order for spousal support. This order could be changed for cause at a later date.
If there is an existing Spousal Support order and there is a reason for changing the order, Legal Action Workshop can prepare an Order to Show Cause. Reasons for changing the existing court order may be a change in job status, or an illness etc.
Note: If, after purchase, you decide to cancel your order and not have a consultation with the attorney, you will get a full refund upon request. If you have had a consultation with the attorney and state to the attorney that you do not wish to proceed, you will get a refund based on the amount paid minus $50 for the consultation. If after the consultation with the attorney, you decide to proceed with your legal matter any refunds later requested will be considered based on the work that was done. No request for a refund will be honored after 30 days.
