It’s a good idea if you trust the source and the attorney is experienced.  An experienced attorney can give you legal advice and answer your legal questions right over the phone.  It is also very convenient.  If you work, you will not need to take time off to meet with the attorney.  You would be able to speak to the attorney right from your office or during a break at work.  Consultations usually take no more than 30 minutes.  If you are a parent, you will not need to arrange for a baby sitter or child care person in order to speak with the attorney.  You would be able to speak with the attorney from the comfort and privacy of your home.
