The Legal Action Workshop Law Firm Divorce:

We file, serve (by mail) and complete your divorce for a low flat fee if your spouse does not respond. We can also prepare a Marital Settlement Agreement if you and your spouse are in agreement. You will have attorney advice and oversight throughout your divorce. If your spouse responds and you are in a contested matter we can also help for LOW FLAT FEES.

We can arrange for a confidential consultation with the Attorney who can meet you in person or speak with you by phone, whichever is more convenient. What's more we handle Divorces throughout California! This can be done easily by phone and email.

If you wish to file for Divorce but you do not know where your spouse lives, we can still help you!  This is called a Publication Divorce.  Many people decide to do this because they may wish to remarry.  Legal Action Workshop has completed thousands of Publication Divorces and we know that our system produces results!  We first file your Divorce, then do a search for your spouse and then a publication in a special newspaper.  After this is done, the judge then signs the order and this consitiutes the 'service' portion of the divorce.  The Divorce would then proceed through the courts and end in the finalization of the Divorce if your spouse is not found.  Our Attorneys will advise you as to your legal rights and your legal options in either case--whether your spouse is found and whether your spouse is not found.  In most cases the spouse is not found.

However, if you have been served with Divorce papers, it is a good idea to speak with the attorney so that you know your legal rights and can make the decision to respond.  If you do not do a Response to a Divorce, then your spouse can go before the judge without you and be granted what he/she wants based on his/her own testimony.  This is called a default divorce. The Attorney can advise you as to what is in your best interest.

Alimony or spousal support is an important part of Divorce.  The courts have rules with regard to Spousal Support.  The amount of Spousal Support is usually determined by assessing need and other factors.  Our attorneys can calculate what the appropriate Spousal Support would be and what you can reasonably expect.
