I have children but I was not married to the father--how do I get child support & custody?
The first step is to file a Paternity Action that will establish the father and address custody, visitation and support for the children. You will need to know where the father lives so that he can be served. If he is working his wages can be garnished. If both of you can agree as to the support and custody, we could prepare a stipulation and you would not need to go to court. Give us a call so that we can discuss. You could also purchase the Paternity Action on the website. Either way, we can arrange for a consultation with the attorney so that you can understand your legal rights and options.
