Many people want a quick Divorce in California.  They may want to remarry or they may have other reasons to finalize the Divorce quickly .  There are 2 options for a quick Divorce:

  1. A Divorce in CA takes a minimum of 6 months & 1 day from the date of service–this is the quickest time frame
  2. A bifurcated Divorce can be filed so that the Divorce is finalized while the issues of the Divorce are addressed at a later date.  The reason for the bifurcation must be approved by the court. This cannot be filed until the 6 month & 1 day period has passed.

There are many ways to assure that your Divorce will go through the courts as quickly as possible.  First, it is important to get legal advice from one of our experienced Divorce Lawyers, so you understand your legal issues. If it is determined that there are no issues, then correct paperwork, filing and serving must be made.  Once the 30 day wait period has passed then default paperwork is filed with the court.  When everything is correct, the court will finalize the Divorce within the 6 month & 1 day time frame.

However, if there are issues such as spousal support, division of property, or child custody, visitation & support, an agreement will be needed to speed up the time frame.  If the issues of the Divorce are contested, then the Divorce could take years to complete.

Further, time can be wasted when the courts reject paperwork which is incorrect or is not presented to the court in the correct manner.

Although it is a challenge to finalize a Divorce within the 6 month & 1 day time frame, it is not impossible!  With legal advice and oversight, a quick California divorce is attainable!  Further, L.A.W. offers Low Flat Fees for your Divorce.  If you want more information on a ‘quick & affordable California Divorce‘, give us a call @ 1-800-HELP-444       (1-800-435-7444) or visit our website @ www.LegalActionWorkshopLAW.com.
